Diagram A shows multiple devices in a rack with a total power consumption of 6000 Watts being protected by two independent UPSs. Three of the devices are protected by UPS #1 while the other three are protected by UPS #2. If your load consists of an M1000e blade chassis, share the power requirement between two equally sized UPSs.
Diagram B shows an M1000e
chassis with six power supplies drawing a total
of 7000 Watts. This load is protected and shared
by two 4200 Watt UPSs. Three power supplies are
connected to UPS #1 while the other three power
supplies are connected to UPS #2. If one UPS
faults, it would transfer to bypass to provide
conditioned power to the connected load.
